Let’s Put a Pin in That

The idea was to create a travel blog for couples. We were meant to be the couple. There seemed to be so many couples traveling and it appeared as if there was an income for it. How wonderful would that be to travel with your partner and experience the world and get paid for it? Amazing.

Even without covid, I don’t know if we would have managed to become successful travel bloggers. We didn’t have a lot of the necessary resources to get started at the time, but the fantasy was there, and it resulted in a blog called Put a Pin In It, which I really wanted to call Put a Pin in That, but the name was already taken.

Our first trip together was to Oahu, Hawaii.

It started with a little traffic and with some consistency in the writing, who knows, maybe some small following would have happened, but with covid all our chances of travel came to a stop, and so did my drive to write.

The real idea behind it was to create a list of all the places we wanted to go and then cross them off and write about them once we reached that place. I’m not sure if the concept would have worked even if covid never happened, but regardless, it never happened.

Still, I already had the beginnings of a blog, so why not move those posts over here?

That’s what I did, so now those past trips are a part of An Accidental Vagabond. Below is a list of all of our dreams places. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll actually be able to cross some of them off. It would be great to check back to this page and see them all crossed off. We can aspire to achieve at least one of them.
